Most patients will start outpatient physical therapy within the first 24 to 72 hours after total knee replacement surgery. To understand the physical therapy cost structure with Medicare part B it is important to understand typical Medicare coverage.
Medicare Part B has a $233 deductible in 2022. After the annual deductible has been met Medicare Part B covers 80% of the allowed amount.
